Bundle up and embrace winter with a walk in the woods, led by Justin Evertson (Nebraska Statewide Arboretum). Discover the many trees of Prairie Pines and spot the former Christmas tree plantings at what was Nebraska’s first “choose and cut” Christmas tree farm. Warm up afterwards with a hot drink in the Welcome Center. Guided tour, Sunday, December 22nd 1:30-2:30 p.m. OR Walk on your own between 1:00-4:00 p.m. Free but donations are always welcome *Dress for cold weather. It was another hot one on the trails at the July, 2024 Run Four the Pines! Thank you to those who attended the four- mile run/walk and a one-mile youth run. The run was followed by an afterparty in the arboretum with music, food and brew. Proceeds will go toward linking Prairie Pines to the Lincoln trails system.
