Root & Restore Wellness Day

Immerse yourself and connect with nature through mindful alternative health practices. Find wellness in nature through yoga, tai chi, therapy, forest bathing and other practices. Bring your lunch, or enjoy plant-based offerings for sale from a local vendor, served from Noon to 2pm. Activities suitable for all, including children. Come as you are, bring your yoga mat or blanket, and find restoration rooted in nature. You can register for various classes when you arrive. Free event, but a donation is expected for most sessions.

Prairie Pines Nature Preserve “Run Four the Pines – Paws on the Path”

It was a beautiful morning on August 8th, 2026 for the 2026 Run Four the Pines - Paws on the Path cross-country style run/walk on the trails of the Prairie Pines Nature Preserve! Thank you to those who joined us!

Watch for the 2027 run date and join the Prairie Pines Partners in the 4-mile, 1-mile, or youth mile on a morning in the trees and across the grasslands of this awesome home for wildlife. Dogs on leash can join their humans for the run on the only day that dogs are allowed at Prairie Pines.

Proceeds go toward Prairie Pines trails and our efforts to link them to the Lincoln trails system.
